An Apple for the Teacher Blog Hop

Our family LOVES apples.  The smell of applesauce in the crockpot, the crunch of apple slices, and the beautiful shades of red, green and yellow all symbolize fall to us.  I have joined with some other great teachers to bring you some apple ideas, giveaways, and freebies!

Kids love them too, so why not bring them into the classroom?  Share a couple of books, take a survey on what kinds of apples they like the best, and even do some coloring activities!  Here are some of my FAVORITE apple books to share in the classroom. (affiliate link if you click on book).

And, here are some of my apple activities in one big bundle.  This includes cut and paste activities, coloring activities, and a file folder game.  All of these are for basic addition.  Here is a glimpse of the printables.  These cover skills like simple adding (with apples to use as manipulatives) as well as determining if a given equation is true or false.

The file folder game includes apples with an addition problem on it.  Students will solve the problem and sort them into one of four groups (each group has its own answer).  There is a recording sheet and answer key for this as well so students can complete it independently.

This pack is usually $3, but I have put it on sale for only $2 for this weekend only.  Make sure to grab it while it is on sale!
