My featured product this week is my Thanksgiving Dinner Shopping Project. It is by far one of my favorite activities of the entire year! I love using this the week of Thanksgiving as kids are getting excited (and some have already left for an early get-away). That way, they don't miss one of our "regular" lessons, but are still doing real-world math. In this activity, students use real circulars from the grocery (ask some teachers and parents to grab some for you OR just print them from online). They get a budget to spend (we used $100) and get to work. The create posters of what they will buy and to make it a little more competitive, we try to see who can get the closest without going over the budget! It is amazing how into the kids get once it is made a competition!
This product is only $1.00 from my store right now, so make sure you grab it while you can! Happy Saturday!!
And, if you teach younger kiddos (or have one at home), make sure you grab my Medial CVC coloring activity for FREE!
Be sure to join us next week when we are showcasing TASK CARDS!
